|
This bill includes
a revenue increase to the General Fund of $128,097 in fiscal year 2025-26 and
$229,825 in fiscal year 2026-27 by prohibiting the sale of tobacco products
in pharmacies and retail establishments containing pharmacies and repealing
the cigarette stamp discount rate to licensed cigarette distributors
effective April 1, 2026. The bill also includes a revenue decrease to the
Local Government Fund of $950 in fiscal year 2025-26 and $5,400 in fiscal
year 2026-27.
Any additional costs to the Department of Health and Human Services to
adopt the changes in this bill are expected to be minor and can be absorbed
within existing budgeted resources. |
