This bill may
increase the number of civil suits filed in the court system. The additional
workload associated with the minimal number of new cases filed in the court
system does not require additional funding at this time. The collection of
additional filing fees will increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts. |

The Department of
Labor will incur costs to ensure compliance with the law governing employer
surveillance. However, because this
legislation requires the department to enforce the provisions within existing
resources utilizing strategic enforcement, no General Fund appropriations are
included in the bill. The ability of
the department to address compliance issues associated with the law without
impacting other programs and services can not be determined at this time. |
