Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Health and Human Services will require General Fund appropriations of $1,184,990 in fiscal year 2025-26 and $2,076,886 in fiscal year 2026-27 for funding to offset expenditures previously paid with a child's federal benefits, to contract for a fiscal agent and attorney to manage the federal benefits received, for financial literacy training, to establish 2 Management Analyst II positions and for a one-time appropriation for required technology changes. Federal Expenditures Fund allocations and Other Special Revenue Funds allocations will also be required for the FMAP match. These required expenditures assume a January 1, 2026 start date.
