|
This bill creates
a civil rights unit within the Office of the Attorney General to promote and
advance protections under the Maine Civil Rights Act. The bill includes
ongoing General Fund appropriations to the Office of the Attorney General of
$193,594 in fiscal year 2024-25 for one Assistant Attorney General position
and one Paralegal position beginning September 1, 2024 to coordinate cases,
education, outreach and reporting related to the Maine Civil Rights Act. |
