This bill
includes a General Fund appropriation to the Department of Health and Human
Services of $10,000,000 in fiscal year 2024-25 for emergency one-time funding
to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center to cover projected operating losses in
the fiscal period beginning January 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024 and to
sustain and improve acute behavioral health care services.
The department noted that they would like to make this payment in fiscal
year 2023-24. Since the bill has an emergency preamble, this could be
accomplished by moving the appropriation into fiscal year 2023-24. |
