|
The bill requires
certain performance-based indicators and adds a prohibition on payments to
trade associations that are registered as lobbyists with the Commission on
Governmental Ethics and Election Practices as conditions of certification. |
|
If the two major
certification programs are in compliance or can get in compliance with these
criteria, there will be no impact on timber sale revenue by the Department of
Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry. If both programs cannot meet the
criteria, there could be a substantial reduction in timber sales revenue from
the State's loss of certification. While loss of one certification may occur,
it is unlikely that both certifications will be lost. Therefore, the
potential loss of revenue is not anticipated to be significant. |
