|
|
The bill
establishes and maintains assisted living and long-term care services. It includes a one-time General Fund
appropriation of $18,000,000 in fiscal year 2024-25 to the Department of
Corrections for a new facility to provide assisted living and long-term care
services to correctional clients. It
also includes a General Fund appropriation of $8,404,551 in fiscal year
2024-25 for one Correctional Care Treatment Worker position, 15 Correctional
Officer positions, 5 Correctional Officer Cook positions, 3 Correctional
Sergeant positions, one Corrections Unit Manager position, contracted medical
staffing and related costs to operate the facility. |

Any additional
costs to the Department of Health and Human Services from the provisions of
this bill are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing
budgeted resources. |
