This amendment
eliminates the ongoing General Fund appropriations of $5,000,000 per year
beginning in fiscal year 2023-24 included in the bill to a newly established
Emergency Housing Matching Grant Program Fund within the Maine State Housing
Authority (MSHA) for grants to qualified providers of emergency housing and
shelter services for the construction, renovation or acquisition of a new or
existing building in which to provide emergency housing and shelter services
and instead provides a one-time General Fund appropriation of $257,000 in
fiscal year 2024-25 to the grant program within MSHA for the same purpose. |
