Fiscal Detail and Notes
This amendment adds a one-time Federal Expenditures Fund allocation of $7,300,000 and a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $5,000,000 beginning in fiscal year 2024-25 and ending in fiscal year 2026-27 for a temporary change to the department's rule Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter III, Section 5, Ambulance Services, so that effective September 1, 2024, MaineCare Ambulance Services codes with Medicare equivalents are reimbursed at 140% of the current published Medicare rates. It also provides a one-time transfer of $15,000,000 in fiscal year 2024-25 from the Department of Public Safety, EMS Stabilization and Sustainability Program to the Department of Health and Human Services, Medical Care - Payments to Providers and provides a one-time deallocation of the $15,000,000 to the EMS Stabilization and Sustainability Program.
