This bill
includes a one-time General Fund appropriation to the Department of Health
and Human Services of $162,500 in fiscal year 2024-25 to contract with an
entity to conduct an analysis of the feasibility of implementing an ambulance
assessment fee that generates federal Medicaid matching funds to be
distributed to ambulance service providers and to explore the potential for
voluntary programs to increase funding to governmental ambulance service
providers using intergovernmental transfer programs. Federal Expenditures
Fund allocations are also included for the FMAP match. |
