The bill includes
General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and Human Services of
$37,589,174 in fiscal year 2023-24 and $37,794,707 in fiscal year 2024-25 to
increase eligibility and wages for child care services and to implement
improvements to child care subsidies and to establish one Social Services
Program Specialist II position, one Social Services Manager I position and 2
Financial Resource Specialist II positions to handle the increased workload
in the program. |

Additional costs
to the Department of Labor and the Department of Education associated with
the provisions in this legislation can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. |
