This bill includes
ongoing General Fund appropriations of $20,000,000 starting in fiscal year
2023-24 to the Maine Agriculture, Food and Forest Products Investment Fund
within the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (ACF) to
facilitate strategic investments in the State's agricultural, food and forest
products processing and manufacturing industries. This includes $178,273 to
establish one Public Service Manager II position and one Senior Planner
position and their associated All Other costs and $37,000 for contracted
services for administrative support for program implementation. The bill also
includes ongoing Other Special Revenue Funds allocations to ACF of $1,170
starting in fiscal year 2023-24 to allow expenditures for technology management
costs associated with the newly established positions. |

Additional costs
to the Department of Economic and Community Development to collaborate with
the advisory board can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
