The Maine Human
Rights Commission will require General Fund appropriations of $78,159 in
fiscal year 2023-24 and $109,891 in fiscal year 2024-25 to establish one
Maine Human Rights Investigator position for the additional intakes and
complaints associated with adding political affiliation as a protected class
under the Maine Human Rights Act. These estimates assume an effective date of
October 1, 2023. |
