The bill includes
one-time General Fund appropriations of $56,878 in fiscal year 2023-24 and
$87,151 in fiscal year 2024-25 to the Department of Public Safety for one
limited-period Management Analyst I position and related costs to collect and
report cost and performance information related to emergency services. This position begins November 1, 2023 and
ends June 7, 2025. |

Additional costs
to the Maine Health Data Organization to include data on ambulance services
in reports related to payments for services rendered by health care
facilities and practitioners are expected to be minor and can be absorbed
within existing budgeted resources. |
