This bill includes
General Fund appropriations of $119,886 in fiscal year 2023-24 and $126,195
in fiscal year 2024-25 to the Office of the Attorney General to establish one
new Assistant District Attorney position for a drug treatment court in
Aroostook County. |

Not included in
the bill, but needed by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS),
are annual General Fund appropriations of $550,000 beginning in fiscal year
2023-24 for the Office of Behavioral Health, within DHHS, to contract with
Maine Pretrial Services to oversee the new drug court in Aroostook County. |
