|
Prohibiting a
municipality or other political subdivision of the State from enacting an
ordinance regulating the minimum hourly wage that an employer must pay an
employee may result in savings to State Government if, absent this
legislation, the State would have been required to pay its employees that
work in the affected municipality a higher wage than it would pay its other
employees in the same job classification based on the salary schedules in
place. |
