This bill
reestablishes the Marine Recreational Fishing Advisory Council. The
Department of Marine Resources (DMR) has indicated that the current staff and
services provided to existing advisory councils will require additional staff
and resources to absorb the additional responsibilities of the reestablished
council. The bill includes ongoing General Fund appropriations to DMR of
$47,108 in fiscal year 2023-24 and $63,051 in fiscal year 2024-25 for one
part-time Resource Management Coordinator position and associated costs. |
