|
The bill includes
one-time General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and Human
Services of $250,000 in fiscal year 2023-24 and $250,000 in fiscal year
2024-25 for the State's free health clinics, which are health care facilities
or programs designed to provide primary medical care to medically underserved
populations, particularly those who are uninsured or who have high deductible
insurance plans. The funding is to be distributed based on a formula adopted
by the Department of Health and Human Services utilizing the number of
clients served and a base amount for each clinic. |
