This bill
includes ongoing General Fund appropriations totaling $178,750 per year
beginning in fiscal year 2023-24 to Maine Maritime Academy to support a
worforce development scholarship program to assist students in earning the
initial credits necessary to work at the Maine State Ferry Service. Of this amount, $143,750 per year is
appropriated for scholarships to students earning the initial credits
necessary to work at the Maine State Ferry Service and $35,000 per year is
appropriated for the marketing of the scholarship program. |
