The Department of
Public Safety will require a General Fund appropriation of $693,247 in fiscal
year 2024-25 for 4 Security Screener positions, 2.5 Capitol Police Officer
positions and one Security Screener Lead position and related All Other to
provide security screening in the Burton M. Cross Building. |

The Department of
Administrative and Financial Services, Bureau of General Services is
currently engaged in a multi-year process to make large-scale security
upgrades to the Burton M. Cross building.
A security study has been completed, an architect has been selected to
assist with implementing security screening and funding for an addition to
the building for the purpose of security screening is included in the
Governor's proposed biennial budget for the Maine Governmental Facilities
Authority. |
