|
This amendment
eliminates the General Fund appropriations to the Department of Health and
Human Services of $4,812,190 in fiscal year 2023-24 and $5,101,478 in fiscal
year 2024-25. The Federal Expenditures Fund allocations are also eliminated
for the FMAP match and Other Special Revenue Funds allocations for the
Service Provider and Nursing Facilities Tax. These ongoing appropriations and
allocations are replaced by a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation
of $3,116,727 and a one-time Federal Expenditures Fund allocation of
$5,495,395 in fiscal year 2023-24 for a one-time payment to the Maine
Veterans' Homes supporting the ongoing operations.

The amendment
also requires a transfer of $2,600,000 in fiscal year 2023-24 from the
Medical Use of Cannabis Fund, Other Special Revenue Funds account within the
Department of Administrative and Financial Services to the unappropriated
surplus of the General Fund and a transfer of $2,600,000 in fiscal year
2023-24 from the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund to the Department
of Health and Human Services, Nursing Facilities-MVH, Other Special Revenue
Funds account. |
