This bill
includes an appropriation of $131,762 in fiscal year 2024-25 to the
Legislature for the costs of one Legislative Analyst position and related All
other costs to prepare fossil fuel emission impact statements. The bill also includes a one-time
appropriation of $20,000 in fiscal year 2024-25 to the Legislature to
contract with an outside entity to assist in the establishment of the
Legislature's fossil fuel emission impact statement process. Any additional
costs to the Department of Transportation and the Department of Environmental
Protection are assumed initially to be minor and absorbed within existing
budgeted resources but additional resources may be needed in the future
depending on the data and modeling needs of the new fossil fuel emission
impact statement process. |
