This bill directs
the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to establish a new health
home model that includes services for substance use disorder and co-occurring
mental health diagnoses in one model and a new payment model. These services
are currently provided in different sections of MaineCare policy, but this
bill will require them to be combined under a new model. Creating this new
model could potentially increase costs for the DHHS. A more precise estimate
of the fiscal impact is not possible because a model will need to be designed
and a rate setting process completed to identify the rates for this new
model. |
