The Office of
Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR) within the Department of
Professional and Financial Regulation will require a one-time Other Special
Revenue Funds allocation of $20,000 in fiscal year 2023-24 to contract for
services to study ways to give financial incentives to plumbing and
electrical contractors to take more small jobs for consumers. OPOR assumes
that the Plumbers' Examining Board and the Electricians' Examining Board will
split the cost of the study and has indicated that both boards have
sufficient budgeted resources to fund the allocation without increasing fees. |
