This amendment
shifts responsibility for convening a stakeholder group to study the methods
and develop model policy to encourage the development and construction of
accessory dwelling units from the Department of Economic and Community
Development (DECD) to the Governor's Office of Policy Innovation and the
Future (GOPIF). The amendment also eliminates the one-time General Fund
appropriation of $50,000 in fiscal year 2023-24 to the Housing Opportunity
Program within DECD for the cost of a consultant to support the work of a
stakeholder group. The cost to GOPIF to support the stakeholder group will be
absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
