The Maine State
Housing Authority (MSHA) will require a one-time General Fund appropriation
of $100,000 in fiscal year 2024-25 to contract with a consultant to perform
the required study of strategies for improving abandoned properties and
prepare the required strategies for municipal governments and regional
organizations to create incentives for land improvements. According to MSHA, it does not have staff
with expertise in land-use planning and economic development to conduct the
study in-house. |
