This bill may
increase the number of civil suits filed in the court system. The additional
workload associated with the minimal number of new cases filed in the court
system does not require additional funding at this time. The collection of additional filing fees
may increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts. |

Additional costs
to the Maine Labor Relations Board, State Board of Arbitration and
Conciliation to implement the requirements of this legislation can be
absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
Because the cost of any proceedings conducted by the Logging Dispute
Resolution Board, established under the authority of the State Board of
Arbitration and Conciliation, must be borne by the party against whom the
board decides, there is no fiscal impact to the State. |
