This bill changes
the qualifying criteria for supplemental guide signs for colleges and
universities, extending eligibility to entities within 100 miles from an exit
instead of 15 and with an enrollment of 200 students instead of 300. The
Department of Transportation has estimated the cost to produce and erect one
sign to be $25,000. The additional cost for signs placed on each side of the
interstate will be $50,000 for each college or university that becomes
eligible. |
