The bill includes
a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $250,000 in fiscal year
2023-24 to the Department of Transportation to adopt a rail corridor use
vision plan. The plan will be completed on the St. Lawrence and Atlantic rail
corridor from Portland to Auburn, the Lower Road rail corridor from Brunswick
to Augusta, the Mountain Division Line from Westbrook to Fryeburg and the
Rockland Branch rail corridor from Brunswick to Rockland. |

Additional costs
to the Department of Economic and Community Development to have a
representative serve on the advisory committee can be absorbed within
existing budgeted resources. |
