	The Attorney General, one of the 3 members of the Baxter State Park Authority (the Authority), has indicated that changing the composition of the membership of the Authority may violate the terms of the Baxter State Park trust agreement which were established when the land comprising the park and funding for its administration were first gifted to the State. The outcome of any legal challenge to adding another member cannot be determined at this time.
	Apart from any potential ramifications from a possible violation of the trust agreement expressed above, any additional costs to the Authority to add an additional member to the Authority are expected to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
