Under current law
any inspected property that the Adjutant General determines to be unfit for
use by the military may be sold at no less than its appraised value as
determined by a person licensed as a real estate appraiser. This bill
notwithstands that requirement and directs him to sell a certain parcel of
land in Hallowell to the City of Hallowell for an amount not to exceed $1.
Any such sale below market value would reduce revenue to the Capital Repair,
Maintenance, Construction and Acquisition Account of the Military Bureau. |
