This preliminary
fiscal note assumes that the intent of this legislation is to provide
clarification of existing law and Department of Education Rule Chapter 132:
Learning Results: Parameters for Essential Instruction regarding the
demonstration of knowledge of the Constitution of Maine and the United States
Constitution as part of the social studies and history requirement for a high
school diploma and that no additional testing requirements will be required.
Based on this assumption, this legislation should have no fiscal impact on
the State or local school administrative units. |
