The services
being required by this bill are already approved services with a funding
source within MaineCare. There was an initiative in PL 2021 c.635 to increase
the rate for these services which is being carried forward in the baseline
for 2024-25. Since there is currently funding for these services in the
Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), no new funding is required if
this bill moves forward. The total level of funding with DHHS may not be
enough to cover this service after the program redesign and rate setting
functions have been completed. If that is the case, DHHS will need to submit
an additional initiative in a supplemental budget to acquire additional
funding. |
