Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill includes ongoing General Fund appropriations of $81,310 beginning in fiscal year 2022-23 to a newly established Maine Climate Corps Program - Maine Commission for Community Service program to support one Maine Climate Corps Program leadership position. The bill also includes a one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $120,000 in fiscal year 2022-23 to the same program to support 4 eligible participants in the program. A one-time Other Special Revenue Funds allocation of $30,000 is provided in fiscal year 2022-23 to the Maine Service Fellows Program to increase the opportunities for individuals to devote a year of service to communities in the State.
The bill requires the State Controller to transfer $150,000 to the Department of Education from the settlement funds received by the Office of the Attorney General for antitrust enforcement and enforcement of the Unfair Trade Practices Act to fund the allocations described above.
