Correctional and Judicial Impact Statements
The additional workload associated with the minimal number of new cases filed in the court system does not require additional funding at this time.  The collection of additional fines may increase General Fund or other dedicated revenue by minor amounts.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill establishes certain requirements and prohibitions regarding hunting or training with dogs and creates penalties for violations. The bill also establishes a process for enforcement of violations of civil trespass with a hunting dog. It creates a dog training and hunting permit with a fee of $12 to be credited to the Landowner Relations Fund. The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife estimates 1,500 permits will be issued, generating an additional Other Special Revenue Funds revenue of $18,000 beginning in fiscal year 2022-23. The bill includes a corresponding allocation to allow expenditure of the funds.
