This amendment
reduces the one-time General Fund appropriation in the bill by $600,000 in
fiscal year 2022-23. As amended, the bill includes a one-time General Fund
appropriation of $400,000 in fiscal year 2022-23 to the Housing Authority -
State program within the Maine State Housing Authority (MSHA) for grants to
eligible owners of single family homes or landlords for the treatment of
contaminated private drinking water. Additional funding for the grants will
be provided by a payment of $100,000 to MSHA from the funds received by the
Office of the Attorney General for antitrust enforcement and enforcement of
the Unfair Trade Practices Act. |
