|
This bill allows
the Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations within the
Department of Administrative and Financial Services to use electronic data
transfers to determine setoffs against lottery winnings for back child
support, outstanding court fees, unemployment compensation debt and unpaid
taxes. Electronic transfers will
decrease the processing time to disburse winnings and the bureau will no
longer have to temporarily hold the funds pending a potential administrative
hearing, resulting in minor savings. |
