This amendment
removes the General Fund appropriations and positions from the bill. The positions and funding to the Department
of Environmental Protection (DEP) related to the provisions of this bill are
contained in the biennial budget and any additional costs related to the
remaining language portions of the bill can be absorbed within existing
budgeted resources. As amended, the bill still retains the septage and sludge
handling fee and will result in an estimated annual Other Special Revenue
Funds revenue of $1,800,000 in fiscal year 2021-22 and $3,600,000 in fiscal
2022-23. The bill still includes allocations to allow expenditure of the
additional revenue. |
