Any additional
costs to the Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry and the
Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous and Maine Tribal
Populations from convening a working group to review state law regarding
offensive place names, establish a process for renaming places with offensive
names and exploring methods to identify entities that profited or benefitted
from the global economy of enslavement are anticipated to be minor and can be
absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
