|
|
This bill expands
the recounts that will be done in stages to all state and county elections
comprising more than one municipality, ward or precinct. This provision could expand the deposits
received from candidates requesting recounts and potentially, if the recount
does not change the outcome, the amount recovered for the full cost of the
recount if that amount exceeds the deposit.
Any additional revenue received from recounts is expected to be minor,
not requiring any change to the budget. |
