This bill includes
ongoing General Fund appropriations of $100,000 per year beginning in fiscal
year 2022-23 to the Business Development program within the Department of
Economic and Community Development to provide funds to regional community and
economic development organizations that serve rural regions of the State for
the purpose of providing grants of up to $1,000 per year to individuals who
have moved into a rural region of the State from outside of the State to
cover the cost of obtaining broadband services in a rural area for up to 5
years. |
