|
The bill provides
protections against discrimination in employment and housing against a person
who has sought and received an order of protection. The Maine Human Rights
Commission anticipates that these protections will increase the number of
complaints filed with the commission. As a result, the commission will
require General Fund appropriations of $59,771 in fiscal year 2021-22 and
$58,815 in fiscal year 2022-23 for one part-time Maine Human Rights
Investigator position and related All Other costs. |
