This bill
eliminates the funding requirement for standardized dispatch protocols for
fire 9-1-1 calls. It also prohibits the Emergency Services Communication
Bureau within the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) from adopting rules
requiring the adoption and implementation by public safety answering points
of standardized dispatch protocols for answering fire 9-1-1 calls. The elimination of standardized dispatch
protocols will reduce contractual obligations. The bill includes ongoing deallocations of
$100,000 starting in fiscal year 2021-22 that will no longer be needed. |
