This legislation
requires licensing and certification fees imposed pursuant to Title 32 of the
Maine Revised Statutes for calendar year 2020 be reimbursed utilizing funds
from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) if these funds are eligible to be
used for this purpose. The total
amount of licensing and certification fees collected in calendar 2020 has not
been determined, but will be calculated for all licensing and certification
entities based on the last half of fiscal year 2019-20 and the first half of
fiscal year 2020-21. It is assumed
that if ARPA funds are not allowed to be used, no reimbursement will be
provided. |
