|
This bill allows
a state department or agency to impose a surcharge for payments made by
credit card or debit card. Any state department or agency that accepts debit
or credit card payments will now be able to recoup associated fees and
charges instead of absorbing them, resulting in savings to the department or
agency. In fiscal year 2019-20, credit card charges across all funds and all
of state government totaled $1.1 million. |
