Fiscal Detail and Notes
This amendment eliminates most of the funding included in the bill but provides $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2022-23 ($700,000 in General Fund appropriations and $300,000 in Other Special Revenue Funds allocations) to establish or expand school-based restorative justice programs, mentoring services for juveniles involved in the juvenile legal system and, in collaboration with the Department of Labor, workforce development, educational and vocational programs for juveniles involved in the juvenile legal system. To offset fiscal year 2022-23 costs, the amendment includes a $700,000 transfer from the Liquor Operation Revenue Fund and a $300,000 transfer from Office of the Attorney General settlement funds.
