Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
This bill
includes General Fund appropriations of $283,313 in fiscal year 2021-22 and
$385,260 in fiscal year 2022-23 to the Regulation and Enforcement program
within the Department of Labor for 4 Labor and Safety Inspector positions for
enforcement of wage and hour laws. |
Increasing the
fine for a violation of certain state wage and benefits laws to $500 for the
first violation and at least $500 but no more than $2,500 for each subsequent
violation may result in an increase in General Fund revenues beginning in
fiscal year 2021-22. The amount will
depend on the number and amount of fines assessed. |
