|
This bill
includes one-time General Fund appropriations totaling $14,287 in fiscal year
2021-22 to the Department of Education to implement the requirements of this
legislation. Of this amount, $13,731
is appropriated to the School and Student Supports program to contract for
temporary services needed to develop best practices on the distribution of
menstrual products in schools, collect data on the availability of menstrual
products in schools and study the availability and feasibility of providing
menstrual products at no cost to schools through donations. Additionally, $556 is appropriated to the
School Finance and Operations program for the technology costs associated with
hiring a temporary contractor to perform the work required in this
legislation. |
