This bill
provides for the regulation of the production, sale and labeling of birch
syrup and birch syrup products. Due to the unique nature and the current size
of the industry, any additional costs to the Department of Agriculture,
Conservation, and Forestry as a result of the regulation of birch syrup and
birch syrup products are anticipated to be minor and can be absorbed within
existing budgeted resources. |
