Fiscal Detail and Notes
This bill requires the Bureau of Alcoholic Beverages and Lottery Operations (BABLO) within the Department of Administrative and Financial Services to grant a 90-day license extension to each on-premises retail license that expires during the period beginning on the effective date of this act and ending one year after that date and that had an active license during the entire period beginning March 18, 2020 and ending June 16, 2020.  Any loss of license revenue to the BABLO as a result of these provisions are anticipated to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. Any additional costs to BABLO as a result of a temporary waiver of required ratios of food sales as a part of total income for entities seeking a renewal of a license to sell beer, wine or spirits for on-premises consumption are anticipated to be minor and can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
